All Lean Director jobs

The role of a Lean Director encompasses the co-ordination and management of a Lean program across the client business. A Lean Director will have a strong grasp of the Lean toolbox and methodologies, and be capable of coaching, mentoring and influencing at all levels. At the helm of the lean program they would usually report to the Board and strip waste from both the client and throughout the value chain. Lean tools used could encompass everything from Kaizen to TQM, Kanban and many more. They will be practised in change management as they seek to persuade and influence key stakeholders. Ultimately the Lean Director will strive to produce what their customer wants, when they want it with as little waste as possible. Typically lean has been restricted to the manufacturing environment though in more recently it is being practised across a whole host of sectors noticeably finance and insurance companies.
