Ripe4’s client is seeking a General manager / Operations Director with a proven track record in process improvement to work as part of a senior management team with responsibility to shape the future strategy of the operation in line with business objectives and operational excellence. This position is responsible for direction of all aspects of the business including Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, Strategy Development, Quality, and Human Resources management. The position is also expected to give appropriate support to Sales and Business Development
You will have worked in a hands on operations director position in the past, responsible for budgets, P&L, labour, materials, overheads for 300+ employees in a busy quality focused manufacturing facility. Monitor the key performance indicators within production and use these to generate improvements and identify and, where appropriate, implement new ways of working (including lean manufacturing tools) TPM, SMED, Kaisen, 5S SPC
Experience in a unionised environment you must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS project, Visio, Access etc.
